Fun in the SNOW

At first- it wasn't so much fun-Mia didn't quite like all the extra clothes/mittens, etc- She couldn't move very well- but once she got her first taste of SNOW- Mmmm- she was sold.

Nothing hits the spot like a big bowl of fluffy white SNOW!

a NEW trick

Mia has started a few 'gymnastic classes' although handstands were not covered the first class- this may be her attempt at advancing. Unfortunately, Mia's genetics don't bode well for a career in gymnastics...

A Christmas Picture - by Mia

Need we say more?

Our little Pumpkin...

This cute little hat and sweater was a gift from our friends Jerri and Carl- it will next go to their beautiful baby girl- Carrisa Rae. (thanks guys!) Although we didn't go trick-0r-treating , Mia helped pass out some candy- then we went for a neighborhood wagon ride to see all the kids- Mia "sticky fingers" quickly noted that the wagon made her at a convienient heigth to nab candy bags as we rode by- thankfully- all bags were recovered by their owners....ha haha

Harvest Party 2007

We attempted a small party with some neighborhood girls- our attempt of getting 5 1 1/2 year-olds seated on the couch for a picture was rather difficult! we had- Kate- the Cheetah, Mia- Hula Girl, Josie- White Bunny, Bella- Pink Princess, and Hailey- Pink Poodle. It was a cute little gathering. Maybe we have started a tradition?

Halloween then and NOW

such a cutie- it became evident this year that we have a serious case of 'crooked coconuts' but, hey, WHAT A CUTIE!

Picking the perfect pumpkin...

Just some Halloween fun at the pumpkin patch-

ABUELOS!

We all had a wonderful visit with Rod's parents- Mia's Abuelos- now we have further witnesses who know why we have fewer pictures of Mia now- she just moves TOO fast and our cameras are TOO slow- Rod's mom made many attempts to catch "the flash" in action- but it usually ends up as a blur- or an ear or something as she runs off to new activities.

Mia learned a bit of spanish- her word for water- which sounded a bit like "wabhalaba" has now been replaced by a pretty clear "agua" (now if only mommy picked up spanish that quickly!!)

Mia's first playhouse!

Okay- so its just a cardboard box that once housed our dishwasher- BUT- Mia seems to like poking in and out of the door and windows to say "hi" and "bye-bye"!

Luca Eduardo Angulo- 1st cousin

Proud Mami & Papi- Javier (R0d's brother) and Mirna. Luca was actually born in August- but we wanted a picture of the new mommy and daddy before we posted it!

Abuelitos again! Looks like they are loving it too! The first little boy Angulo to carry on the name...

Waiting for the parade...

We enjoyed our first ALL HORSE parade- the kick-off to the Delaware County Fair!
**NOTE- Mia is demonstrating her keen grasp of anatomy by showing off her BELLY BUTTON! She'll happily find yours too if you ask!

Fun in the backyard!

Although the hilly backyard initially presented a challenge- Mia seemed to get the hang of running down it after a few tumbles! Its always a party for Mia if you have a BALL on hand!

A trip to the ZOO

A trip to the zoo- Mia enjoyed hugging the very patient goats, playing in "habitat hollow" (mushroom land) & and her ultimate favorite- the FISHIES!!
