Happy Birthday Sweet ONE!

Okay, so not really on his birthday, but he enjoyed the 'pre' celebration!

Nothing like MONKEYS to celebrate a little boy's 2nd birthday...

THe kitchen stick lives on....we've enjoyed adorning it so much- think we would miss it too much- who knows what may find its way up there next....

Celebrating our wonderful baby boy- big boy now! TWO- can it be possible that time has flown by faster with Diego? Such a sweet heart- still gives the cuddles that we love so much. He is turning into quite a flirt- when leaving a roomful of 'ladies' at the church nursery he will usually say 'bye-bye' and blow a kiss- ahh, what a dreamboat in diapers....Diego enjoys 'dancing', attempting to jump, and if you get him really excited he will position himself in somersault position - bottoms up- and wait for someone to push him on over....we'll have to work on the rolling part of it- but its too cute to watch him just waiting with his toosh up in the air- maybe we'll get a pic to share! Can't wait for him to find more words- I am sure he will have some funny things to tell us all!

first sprinkler run of the season!

the 'after' shot out of order...so cute in their stripey towels, I hope to get at least one pic. of them walking in them- the little poncho/hood thing is too cute! but, I guess I'll need a faster camera or slower kids...

action!

ahh, diego just being a cutie!.
THE SPRINKLER.....
Of course they love it...and we've found that when placed just so...we'll be able to water the garden as well...looks like we may have a new evening tradition of sprinkler/garden watering time in the evening!

SOCCER...or SOCR

Today was our first SOCCER game- Go Crew-
yes, we are yellow and called the Crew- how original is that-but, there we have it.

Mia was so excited that she woke up early (joy on a Saturday) once we finally convinced her to return to her room and put her SOCCER outfit on- (we could hear her exclaiming over each piece- particularly the shin-guards!). She then returned to our room (too quickly in our minds as we lay snuggled under the covers hoping that it really wasn't time for Mommy and Daddy to get UP!)- Mia was very excited to show us she had written "soccer".....SOC-R- she had sounded it out....guess that little girl is all set to start texting... The fields were packed and CRAZY with teams- it was sunny but WINDY WINDY so a bit cold! Coach Dana and my fellow coaches had an interesting time trying to round up 12 little girls ages 3 1/2 to almost 7! Now that would be a VAST difference in maturity and ability- but such is the team. Thankfully, for the game we divide the younger and the older to create two mini-teams- still, its tough being the little squirt. Sadly, Mia found it a bit frustrating because it was hard to keep up- but she did troop along fairly well- apparently Mamaw and Papaw have a few pictures of her curled up in the grass...on the field...during the game...but- we have to start somewhere! Alas, Diego did not find it very interesting and went home with Daddy after the first quarter- our games are 'conveniently' right during naptime- so we may be running a split ship for awhile. All in all, we are looking forward to see what becomes of this- we have 9 more games ...
so ....Go Crew!

easter

All dressed up for church...

new experience- egg hunting...

Mia, Cousin Carson, and DIego were just starting to get into it- though they needed help spotting...the 'hunt' kind of dwindled once they discovered the eggs had candy in them it became a 'find/open/eat' event. Maybe next year we will manage a group photo before they take off!
sweet bunny boy

sweet bunny girl!

some recent spring happenings...

ahh the sand box- love it, hate it! so much fun - but OH so messy!

Prince Diego at Bella and Audri's Royal Party...

Loving some BUBBLES!

its spring- we are off! Mia has 'graduated' to the tandem- we are excited to use it this year! they look so cute riding along, sometimes Rod even stops peddling so Mia can give him a ride...poor girl! Diego and Mommy cruise the town in his bike seat- though Rod has been naughty and has trained him to reach and pull up the back of my shirt while we are riding!
