The Dude- bigger each day.

Apparently, Mommy is very funny...

Assume the position- this would be a preferred position for Diego- so sweet and calm. We encourage thumb sucking at this point...when he's 6...it may be a different story...

A stop-action shot of the"I'm getting many many teeth drool". Please pass the Tylenol and a chew toy....

These two little bears are JUST RIGHT!!

Mia would like to share her love of all hats and other types of headwear with her bro- too cute.

Feeding the dude- it must be some sort of reflex to open your mouth when feeding a baby- even Mia is doing it....

Diego absolutley loves watching Mia- of course, she is a show all her own...

The Kitchen is coming along...nicely

The dining room (used to be the kitchen) Gee- our table feels so itsy bitsy now...

NOW - behold the giant room- now this lower part is one big space- kitchen/dining/family room. GREAT GREAT for play and entertaining!

OF course- the photos do not do it justice...(nor does the photographer- sorry)
Wow- we were on power drive to finish this before Rod's parents arrived....which they did, safely arrive, on 9/26- now we can all relax a bit and enjoy. Not the best at taking pictures to show to space- but WE LOVE ALL THE ROOM! Good , no GREAT INCREDIBLE JOB by Rod- thanks for all the help- particulary Mom and Dad....its quite fun.. Phase II to come- we hope to find or make some new/interesting light fixtures (bye-bye dining room chadelier), tile the backsplash and other finishing odds and ends...oh, and that largish ceiling section that needs repaired (drywall connections anyone??) However, for now... we can wait a bit and rest....

The "Kitchen"

note the drywall dust floating in the air- pervasive stuff it is!

the dude getting ready to help out with the screwdriver...

Mia considering an alternate cabinet layout using her blocks as models...and, yes, she really does wander around in sunglasses all day- the little diva!

Dad working on the dreaded tile removal chore...

Mom continuing to work on removing tile 'ick' from the floor...

******
Once the walls started coming down, there was no turning back. Rod has done an amazing job thus far. Thanks so much to Mom and Dad, Donovan and Sara for helping out...with luck, we will have "PHASE I" completed by this weekend...

mia, diego...and finally- diego's TEETH!

Diego is turning into quite the 'flirt'- but, hey, who could resist those baby blues and that dimple!

Mia was decorating her hair with dandelions....

Mmmm, yummy rice cereal...

Little did she know she was being 'followed'....

okay- the elusive TWO front teeth...we also now have 1 bottom tooth- the 2nd on the way...and two more top teeth coming in....beware to MOMMY!

Happy Birthday DADDY!

After a beautiful serenade by Mia , Rod was assisted in the blowing out of candles!
Happy Birthday, Papasito!

Mia's new RAKE...

Mia has a new rake- getting ready to help with some outdoor chores- but, it would seem that using your hands is still much more fun, especially when you find pretty yellow leaves (that's Mia's "birthday tree" in the background. Nothing ends a day of raking better than a cuddle with Mammaw.

Mia helps change a diaper....

Mia was so helpful getting a diaper and wipes out to help change the dude- I had to stop her when she'd pulled out about the 10th wipe- thank goodness it was NOT a 10-wipes kind of diaper- phew!

ALL CLEAN!

Hmm, let's see..."D"...then "I"...."E,G,O"...okay, got it!

phew, what an eventful day. oh, and soon to come (once we manage to 'catch it on film) Diego is now the proud owner of TWO FRONT TEETH!

Diego in the bouncer- just about ready
